This is a book trailer for the 13th Book of the Wheel of Time series “Towers of Midnight”. I served as Director of Photography and visual effects artist for this project. I hope you guys like it. Shot on the 5D Mark II.

Tor Books is proud to present the book trailer for TOWERS OF MIDNIGHT, the penultimate thirteenth novel in The Wheel of Time series, written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

Produced by the creative forces of Dragonmount.com and Mythmakers Entertainment, this video is the first-ever official video representation of Robert Jordan’s masterpiece series. The majority of the crew for this project were fans themselves, and were led by Dragonmount founder Jason Denzel, who directed the short.

I recently got to visit the set of one of my favorite television shows of all-time… The Office. Claire Scanlon, the editor of the show and director of the music video “Emotions”, invited me and producer Coreen Salamanca to come down to southern California to mingle with the cast & crew. It was definitely a trip that I’ll never forget! Thanks Claire for inviting me! I had so much fun!

The Bridge Premiere

Last night, I premiered my WWII short film “The Bridge” at the Sundance Kabuki in San Francisco, CA. It was an amazing and humbling experience and I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who made it the screening. I would also like to thank my cast and crew for the wonderful experiences. It was 9 months of blood, sweat, and tears and I all I can say is that I hope I created a film that all you guys can be proud of!

Yesterday, I completed my first music video as the director-of-photographer for Sila Mutungi’s Emotions. I got to work with some incredible people including Sila, the incredible singer/songwriter and co-director, co-director Claire Scanlon (the editor of the hit show “The Office”), producer Correen Salamanca, and my favorite two actors Leah Thompson and Pablo Soriano (from my film The Bridge). I once again attempted to push the 5D Mark II’s capabilities to the limits, this time shooting black and white. Check out some of the screengrabs below!

A couple months ago, Director Lisa Arnold hired me to DP her romantic comedy feature film “Letting Go” in the beautiful city of New Orleans. Yesterday was our first official day of production and here are some screen grabs from our dailies. “Letting Go” will be shot on the Red One (A camera) and the Canon 5D Mark II (B camera).

Last night was the second day of shooting for Ikwinder Jagait’s “Blame It on the Alcohol”. It was a pretty relaxed shoot, everything went nice and smoothly. Lots of laughs and Mexican food. Got to use the new Canon 24mm 1.4L Mark II extensively. I have no words to explain how amazing that lens is just take a look at some screengrabs from the shoot.

Film Threat was kind enough to write a review “Shave”, a short film that I digitally colored and did visual effects for. They gave it a raving 5 stars!

“Christensen’s short film, “Shave,” is a brilliant, experimental documentary drama. It is a joyous yet disturbing autobiographical disconnect of a toddler’s violent clash with the adult world. Here, young Sean must come to terms with his father’s abrupt decision to shave his mustache and thereby, his identity.”

That’s A Wrap!

After almost 4 months, principle-photography for The Bridge is finally complete. It has been a tough road with plenty ups and downs but overall, it has been a wonderful experience. Thank you to my cast and crew for all their hard work, I couldn’t have made this film without you. I will now head full-steam towards post production and hopefully I can fine-tune and shape the footage we’ve shot into a beautiful and lyrical piece of cinema.

Yesterday I began principle photography as director-of-photography for a short film entitled “Blame It on the Alcohol”. It is being directed by Ikwinder Jagait and produced by Pavlinder Jagait. It will be a five day shoot over the span of the next few weeks. I will be shooting with the Canon 5D Mark II. Stay tuned for more information about the film.
